England matters

A blog, intended to put some positive and balanced thought in the defence of good old Blighty.

Why a blog on England? Well, this Country has over 80% of the UK population, but appears to be nowhere when compared to the profile of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Somehow, England is pseudo British, whilst the other Home Countries revel in their independence and unique identities.

If Scotland, Wales and N.I. are proud to be who they are, then shouldn't we be equally proud as well?

This blog is 100% inclusive. It does not exclude any ethnic or religious group. It is aimed primarily at criticising Government, the E.C. and the Media - I view them collectively as latter day Normans. An English patriot Hereward the Wake fought a guerilla campaign in and around the marshes of Ely in Cambridgeshire, soon after William the Conquerer's invasion in 1066 - hence the title of the blog.

It really is a pity though. If I was writing a blog about say Scotland, I wouldn't even feel the need to make the non exclusive qualifier, would I?

I will highlight Government faillings towards England - plus general everyday injustices.
